Travelling to Paris for the first time, I booked the Westin on points as it seemed nicely situated amongst all of the tourist attractions. Location is everything in Paris, main attractions are all walking distance. I never once took the metro...other than the RER to get to Versailles. Upon checking in, I was early and exhausted from travelling, and my room was not ready. I believe her name was Lori, but she offered me a room for 45 minutes to shower and change, how lovely! Upon showering, my room was ready! I quickly ran up to see if had received a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower - boy was I not disappointed! My room had a lovely terrace / balcony with direct views of the Eiffel Tower, Tulieries Gardens, and the Louvre. The Platinum breakfast is lovely, well worth it. My ONLY complaint, is that the room is a tad dated and not well equipped with outlets / charging ports. Actually, I was also annoyed with the amount of Americans arguing with the Front Desk staff - every time I would go down someone is throwing a fit, usually for no reason and holding up the line. The front desk staff are all lovely and provided me with nothing but hospitable service, thank you!
